Titahi Bay Boating Club is available for hire as a venue for educational programmes, business meetings, hui, water-based sporting events and to a lesser extent social functions.
The TBBC club room is a two story building with external access, consisting of:
Social functions (ie. parties) are managed on a case by case basis. Those looking to host a birthday/wedding parties etc are usually encouraged to consider alternative venues.
Important - The supply or sale of liquor is prohibited within the clubrooms.
The clubrooms interior and exterior areas are all wheelchair-accessible from the road level. The jetty and pontoon are also wheelchair-accessible, so that less-able individuals can access boats at the water's edge. These accessibility features are made possible through the cooperation and investment of our affiliates, Sailability Wellington trust.
In most cases we will request a cleaning & damages bond to cover cleaning costs, damages, loss of keys etc.
The outdoor area around the club includes the reclamation, deck, pontoon and a launching ramp suitable for small boats (<5m). These have all been developed over the years by club volunteers and members of our local community. As a number of regularly scheduled activities take place every week, we encourage organisations interested in holding events on the club grounds to get in touch as early as possible, to make scheduling arrangements and avoid booking conflicts.
The club appreciates any koha as this helps to cover the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the aforementioned areas, allowing the club to provide these facilities to the public.
